Serving Ministry In Many Capacities
First Presbyterian Church of Pottstown’s members can be found serving in ministry in many capacities in our local community and beyond. From tutoring local students, weeklong adult and youth work camps, to bring clean water in rural villages, our impact is local and global
The Church has Left the Building:
There are so many opportunities for church members to serve not-only our local community but across the world. From youth and adult workcamps, travelling overseas to help impoverished communities, to serving people right here in Pottstown, First Presbyterian Church is there. For example, here are some of the ways that church members share their time and talents outside the church building:
Tutoring at Barth Elementary School.
Leading a Book Busters group at Barth Elementary School.
Home construction for Habitat for Humanity.
Installing clean water systems in villages in Honduras
Annual week-long trips to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance sites to repair and rebuild homes affected by natural disasters.
Hosting and serving free Community Meals every Thursday at our church for neighbors in need.
Inside the Church:
Around the church, there are many opportunities for volunteers to participate in ministry from one-off opportunities, to once or twice a year, to monthly or weekly. For example, here are some of the ways that church members share their time and talents around the church:
