Sisters of the Way

The Forum
The Forum is First Presbyterian Church’s weekly opportunity for adults to learn about faith, our greater Pottstown area community, our mission partners from next door to around the world.
Men’s Sunday Morning Class
The Men’s Sunday Morning Class meets each week in the Pastors’ Conference room and works its way through a book in the Bible, applying the lessons learned to daily living.
Lectio Divina
Lectio Divina, meaning “divine reading” in Latin, is an ancient Christian practice of prayerfully reading scripture slowly to listen for God’s voice. It involves four stages: lectio (reading a passage slowly), meditatio (reflecting on a word or phrase), oratio (responding in prayer), and contemplatio (resting in God’s presence)
Labyrinth
“Thus says the Lord: stand at the crossroads, and look and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies; walk in it, and find rest for your souls.” -Jeremiah 6:6
Given in memory of beloved Clerk of Session Ron Gower by his family, the beautiful prayer path is a gift not only to the church family, but also to our neighborhood and the Pottstown community. Individuals and church groups of all ages, as well as groups of students from the Pottstown schools and guests at our Community Meals, have drawn close to God in this peaceful setting as they practice this ancient way of meditation.
